At the moment the gorge is 350 m long, once it had 10 km length but the Baltic swallowed most of it. On the sides of the gorge there are many beeches older than 100 years. The beeches know many incredible stories, that rustle with their leaves, however only an astute listener can hear them. At the entrance of Lisi Jar, De Rosset count -one of Jastrzębia Góra founders, built the first sea-side tourist shelter called "Nad Lisim Jarem".

  • Obelisk of Zygmunt III is also located at the Lisi Jar entrance. It was placed there in the interwar period by Alexander de Rosset count.
  • Obelisk "North Star" is a rock put in the northernmost place, set from initiative of “Friends of Jastrzebia Góra” association. The North Star is located at the end of Norwida Street, just at the cliff bank. You can also get there by the sea-side forest from the side of Rozewska Street.

The valley is about half a kilometre long and its bottom is 40 m deep. A walk through the valley is a journey to the world of virgin  nature, rare species of plants and beautiful landscape. The legend says the name "Rudnik" comes from red ground, a symbol of bloody trap on the Swedish during “the Swedish Flood”. The science has a bit different opinion about this. As geologists claim the gorge was created as a result of water erosion  from rivers flowing into the Baltic, and red colour of ground is caused by exudates of ground water rich in iron.
